Where did the sleeping till noon, up till midnight go? No matter how long I stay up I keep waking up at exactly eight-thirty. How bazaar! Of coarse Kitten Little doesn't help much by jumping up on the bed and then jumping down again over and over. And of course I'm so scared to let the chickens out in the mornings too. Its because their all dieing, and I'm terrified of going out there and finding a dead one in the coop. I've done it before- it's not a very good way to start the day. Somehow the chickens know that if they don't eat one day then I'll be super worried, so that particular chicken always HIDES when I go to let them out, causing me to freak. Then as I turn around in tears to find my mom, the chicken always runs out with the others. Stupid birds. But all is okay this morning and I'm thankful for that. You may think "Gosh whats the big deal? Their just chickens!" but our chickens are as much pets as our cats and dog and rabbit and horse. We named all six of the original ones and when we got more, we named them too. All the chickens we have ever had were named: Bunny, Lucky, Grace, Gwenneth, Lilly Ann, Penelope, Luna, Hermione, and Jenny(In case you didn't notice, the last three are Harry Potter names,). We've lost Gwenneth(who was my all time fave and we lost her first), then Grace (Grace and Gwenny were besties), and then just last Saturday Lilly Ann. She was the coolest looking of them, she had circles in the pattern of feathers on her back.
Anyways enough of that. Well so far today I have woken up, let out the chickens and blogged. Yesterday I went back to the barn, my neck incredibly sore from Murphy (more like the ground!) and I worked. I work for my lessons at the barn, so technically I have a job! That's always cool. Well I need to go feed my cattle who are meowing (or in Sibby's case- squeeeeking) at me. Updates after riding this afternoon!
